Robert Silverstein Law, P.C.
Following graduation in 1981 from Syracuse University, The College at Law, Mr. Silverstein was appointed Assistant District Attorney, Office of the District Attorney, Kings County. During the course of his 6-year appointment, Mr. Silverstein prosecuted major felony offenses and served in the Homicide Bureau at a time when Brooklyn was considered the “murder capital of the world”. Mr. Silverstein investigated and successfully prosecuted homicides resulting in convictions for murder in the 2nd Degree. He was featured in a NY Times expose which chronicled the “crack murder” epidemic which plagued NYC, particularly Brooklyn in the 1980s.
Mr. Silverstein honed his Trial skills as a Prosecutor and thereafter joined a prestigious NYC Medical Malpractice defense law firm. He defended prominent Physicians and Hospitals in vertically every medical specialty and defended medical malpractice actions at Trial throughout the NYC Metropolitan area. His clients included, among others, renowned Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Diagnosticians, and Radiologists.
In 1991 Mr. Silverstein joined the “plaintiff’s” Bar and has represented seriously injured patients of negligent medical care, as well as catastrophically injured victims of motor vehicles accidents, construction accident and matters of products liability. He is credited with many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. After 38 years in practice, Mr. Silverstein insists on attending to his clients personally. He knows the importance of these matters and does not delegate your case to a an inexperienced Attorney. He personally conducts all Depositions, reviews all medical records, and prepares each and every case for Trial. Most importantly, perhaps, he returns every client’s phone call and may be reached at any time on his cell phone. History has shown that clients are entitled to a one-on-one relationship with their Attorney from the beginning to the end of their case.
